Attention Deficit Disorder in Children and Adults

Anyone can seem inattentive or hyperactive. For example, it is unreasonable to expect a very young child to sit quietly while reading a long book. Even teenagers and adults have trouble paying attention if the subject is not interesting to them. However, if the individual consistently has trouble paying attention, sitting still or controlling their behavior and it is affecting their work or social relationships, they should be evaluated for ADD. At Neurohealth Associates, we conduct a comprehensive series of tests that look at the individual’s physical history, behavioral profiles, cognitive abilities and brain map to clearly determine if they have a disorder. If based on our evaluation the diagnosis is ADD or ADHD, we can come up with an effective treatment plan to successfully reduce or eliminate the symptoms.
